Teaching & Learning - Performing Arts
The Performing Arts program is based on the belief that children have a natural affinity with music and that this can be nurtured through movement, song, chant, creativity, instrumental work and listening.
In Performing Arts at Vermont South Special School, students experience, explore and engage in a variety of music, drama and dance activities. All students have opportunities to sing with their peers, perform dramas on the stage, express themselves through creative dance and experience playing a variety of instruments.
At all levels, students are encouraged to participate, not only in class activities, but also in the many co-curricular activities that are offered at the school, including assemblies, concerts, dances and singing clubs.
