Support for the School Community

Vermont South Special School conducts programs for the benefit of the school community:-
including parents, teachers, integration aides and interested others.

Workshops - Compic, Makaton, Cued Articulation, Phonemic Awareness, Early Numeracy Skills and Letterland. Workshops are held once a year.

Sibshops - to enable siblings of students to socialise and to discuss difficulties associated with having a special needs brother or sister.
Parent Information Nights - to inform the school community about school activities and programs.

Parent Morning Teas - to enable parents to socialise on an informal basis.

Signposts - to empower families of special needs children.
